Job Opportunity: Senior WordPress Developer

Salary: Up to £50,000

A leading web design and development agency near Huddersfield is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a full-stack developer passionate about custom themes, plugins, and complex backend integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on projects with multiple developers
• Scope and estimate projects, determine the build process and tech stack
• Develop and customise WordPress themes and plugins.
• Design and implement backend integrations, including custom / REST APIs and 3^rd party APIs such as Salesforce, HubSpot, bespoke CRMs etc.
• Utilise GraphQL and other tools to create scalable, interactive solutions.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers to ensure high-quality project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• Essential Skills:
  • Strong expertise in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), and MySQL.
  • Proven experience with custom plugin and theme development.
  • Knowledge of backend integrations such as REST APIs and GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with modern development tools and workflows (e.g., Docker, CI/CD, Git).
• Desirable:
  • Experience with Salesforce integration.
  • Exposure to headless CMS systems (e.g., React, Next.js).
