Software Engineer – C# / .Net Core

BD Talent are recruiting for a remote first client, a software house who are part of a very large group – in a very secure sector. We’re looking to add a C#/.Net Core Developer to their engineering team, someone backend weighted who has strong API experience.

Role Overview:

• Joining a circa 40 strong tech team, broken down into 4 Scrums
• Designing and developing backend solutions to power price comparison websites
• This role sits within the Scrum that focuses on API and 3^rd party integrations
• They also focus on building complex data layers and numerous new features
• You’ll be involved in a big project moving from a monolithic API to microservices set up
• Each Scrum consists of 6 Developers, frontend and backend, a QA, Scrum Master and Product Owner
• It’s an Agile environment following a Scrum approach, working in 2 week sprints, each kicked off with a planning meeting then onto stand ups and retrospectives
• Tech stack includes C#, .Net Core, REST/RESTful API, SQL, xUnit, AWS, Kubernetes, Lambda, S3, Jira, Postman, IaC, Aurora

More Information:

• The team works remotely and meets up a few times a year in Liverpool. There may also be the opportunity for European travel too. All travel costs are fully expensed.
• Personal development will be both funded and supported, some of the team have recently gained AWS certifications and many recently became PSPO Certified
• We are looking for someone to bring their ideas to the team and share the company’s passion for clean, scalable and reusable code
• Standard working hours are 9am to 5pm with an hour’s lunch, this is flexible, work 7am to 3pm for example, if preferred.

Who We Are Looking For:

An experienced developer/engineer who is confident designing, developing and maintaining scalable and secure API’s as well as integrating with 3^rd party API’s. Someone with a background developing database indexes and schemas and managing data storage and optimisation. Unit testing, best practice and CI/CD will be areas you’re interested in. You’ll also be willing to share your knowledge and help out junior colleagues if required.
