Social Media Exec – Manchester/Hybrid – £25,000

We have a super exciting opportunity for anyone who is passionate about social media and would love the chance to take control of all platforms, coming up with posts and campaigns across multiple sectors, for an ever-growing eCommerce company based just south of Manchester.

The content will be largely editorial and the more creative, the better. You’ll be working across a range of brands and products which largely sit in the sports, leisure, luxury, music and travel sectors.

Working closely with the PR Lead and Content Manager, you’ll be taking over existing social accounts and looking at ways to grow their audiences. They currently post on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and occasionally LinkedIn.

The role will involve:

• Taking ownership of existing social media channels, looking to increase followers and engagement
• Building a monthly social media calendar and scheduling posts via Hootsuite
• Posting about calendar events relevant to each brand as well as being reactive to what’s trending
• Exploring new platforms such as TikTok and Pinterest
• Developing creative and engaging content, working with the in-house design team as required
• Ensuring content is optimised and visible to the correct target audience
• Working with the marketing teams to deliver wider campaigns across social
• Review and analyse posts, looking at visitor data and where improvements can be made
• Auditing accounts and reporting on results
• Focusing on audience engagement and interaction, responding to comments etc.
• Working with brand ambassadors and helping to further grow a network of influencers.

We are looking for:

• Prior experience in a social media role – ideally you’ve worked across multiple brands and accounts Scheduling and calendar building experience
• Good content writing skills and the ability to come up with campaign ideas
• Expert knowledge of social platforms, their algorithms and metrics, and how to get the best from them

It’s a hybrid role, with set team office days which are every Tuesday and Wednesday.
