BD Talent continue to exclusively recruit for a tech company based on Manchester Science Park, we are looking for a cloud specialist to set them up with the infrastructure needed for the next stage of their growth.  

Before we talk about the role itself, here’s a few things worth knowing about this company:  

  • They offer hugely flexible working hours, it’s a 7.5 hour day and you can start it from 5am-10am 
  • They offer hybrid working, there’s a requirement to be in the office on Mondays and Fridays alongside the rest of the team – on Friday they finish early, generally around lunchtime

  • Their tech stack includes Azure, Power BI, AWS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, Snowflake, CloudWatch, Cloudflare, New Relic, SQL, Node, TypeScript – plus more.  
  • One stage interview process, face to face at their offices on Manchester Science Park 

What you will be working on 

  • Migrating on premise servers to Azure
  • Working on a project to migrate a data center to the Cloud
  • Designing and building secure, scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure with Azure 
  • Managing and implementing security policies and infrastructure in the cloud environment 
  • Security monitoring and ensuring the safety of all cloud-based systems 
  • Maintaining and updating documentation on infrastructure design and security measures 
  • Developing and maintaining automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations of cloud services 
  • Configuration, management, procurement and rollout of MS Entra ID, Intune, Cloudflare, Defender etc. 

Required experience: 

  • Advanced understanding of Azure
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment and working with Software Engineers. 
  • Experience supporting migrations to Cloud based services 
  • Experience managing Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Office 365 
  • In-depth understanding of security protocols and standards 
  • Have used a similar tech stack to that listed above and have designed and built Cloud setups
